This year our drive train decided to go with an Andy Mark super shifter and to use six wheeel drive. We also decided to use the kitbot frame because it is easy to assemble and leaves more time and energy towards other aspects of our robot including our B.A. ball gripper and ball knocker. In our super shifter we're using two cim motors and a gearbox upgrade to increase speed but we will change that because of the inability to control it at such a high speed. We're using 4, 3/4" bore Bimbas with a 5" stroke on our ball gripper and it will put up to 360 psi on the ball. For out wheels we decided to go with the 2007 Andy Mark wheel instead of the 2008 because they have better grip. Thats all I have on the drive train for know, keep checking in for updates. |
